Good Things Ahead!

I’m feeling like a lucky duck this week. I got to flex my speaking muscles, thanks to a coaching client of mine who thought I would make an excellent speaker for this event. 

I was speaking at Northern Virginia Community College, chatting with the faculty about the importance of bridging generations, what they mean in the workplace, and for the students they’re teaching. 

As you’ve probably read from me before, the increasing generational gap is becoming a huge problem in the modern workplace and something challenging to address. Between the rise of social media, political divides, and a change in values from one generation to another, things have grown tense. 

So, how do you navigate this? How do you cross that generational divide? 

Well, that’s what I’m around for! This question is one that’s too complex to answer in one newsletter - hence why I have entire talks structured around it!

I believe that a question as complex as this one deserves a structured, in-depth answer, not to be brushed off or explained with one or two quickly forgotten sentences. With a topic that has as much nuance and intricacy, it deserves good time and thought. 

I’d like to encourage you all to think of people you may know who are facing this problem - organizations, too - and send them my way for a free conversation. 

People of all generations deserve to feel heard and safe in their workplace.
