The POWER of Your Voice

I was in my weekly team meeting yesterday, and it struck me just how wonderful it is to hear my employee's voices.

My team is entirely remote; most of them are based 1000s of miles away from me. I don’t get to shake their hands or see their faces in the office each day.

But on my weekly call, I get to hear their voices, and it’s allowed me to see the power of the human voice.

Tone, tenor, syntax, rate, all the wonderful things that make up human speech, and I am lucky enough to listen to it each week from my employees. It allows me to know them - and allows them to know me.

Language is powerful and uniting - and I often see it being overlooked in favor of emails or Slack.

So, I wanted to share this to remind you how powerful the human voice is.
